Dr. Omar U. Florez, Senior Research Manager at Capital One

Dr. Omar U. Florez is a Senior Research Manager at Capital One developing deep reinforcement learning algorithms to enable natural dialogues with customers and their context. Formerly he was a Research Scientist at Intel Labs in the Anticipatory Computing Lab. He is a recipient of an Innovation Award on Large-Scale Analytics by IBM Research in 2010 and currently leads the research committee of LatinX in AI (http://www.latinxinai.org/), a coalition which goal is to raise awareness of the long and short term effects of artificial intelligence technology on the LatinX community. Omar’s interests cover deep learning for multimedia data and and Bayesian reasoning for interpretation.

 

Radhika Iyengar-Emens, Managing Partner at DoubleNova Group

Radhika Iyengar-Emens is Managing Partner of DoubleNova Group, a Silicon Valley-based blockchain consultancy and ICO advisory. She is a TEDx speaker, a Silicon Valley Woman of Influence, a serial entrepreneur, a crypto investor and an expert in blockchain, digital health and global entrepreneurship. She is raising a new blockchain VC fund named StarChain Ventures. Radhika has been a keynote and panel speaker at Stanford University, Google, UC Berkeley and prominent blockchain and healthcare conferences in Silicon Valley and internationally.

Multilingual in 9 languages, Radhika is a global business advisor to high tech startups and digital health companies from Europe, Israel, Asia and Latin America. She is an expert in ICO and Silicon Valley fundraising, international expansion and business acceleration. He has also generated millions of dollars in revenue and expanded startups both nationally and internationally. Jorden has created successful US market access programs for top international startups and setup and run accelerators. He has also advised Fortune 500 companies such as Apple, VMware, HP, GE, and Cisco.

Jorden is an expert in blockchain, fundraising, startup acceleration, and global entrepreneurship. He has been an invited guest speaker at Stanford University, Google, UC Berkeley and leading blockchain conferences in Silicon Valley. Jorden holds a BS in astrophysics from California Institute of Technology (Caltech) and an MS in physics from University of Washington.

 

Aparna Pujar, Founder and CEO of Enfavr

Aparna Pujar is the Founder and CEO of Enfavr, a peer-to-peer market to share services reciprocally. She has diversified experience in Product Strategy, Product Management, Technology and General management. A well-timed sabbatical from eBay, where she previously worked as a Product Head and lead several strategic initiatives for Big Data, led her to take up entrepreneurship as her next adventure, which also was her life-long dream. At Enfavr, she is focused on using blockchain for creating a community currency. She specializes in conceptualizing, building internet based technology products and platforms. Prior to eBay, she was the Director of Media and Front Doors at Yahoo! – and launched Yahoo!’s Sports and Entertainment Media verticals which were ranked Top 3 in their categories. Prior to Yahoo!, Aparna was Director of e-Commerce, at Omnicell, where she started as an Engineer and quickly rose to own general management responsibilities for their e-Commerce Platform. Aparna is an avid Jazz music listener, loves reading stories about leadership, courage, biographies and World Wars. She also indulges in Italian Cooking, collecting Portuguese pottery and hiking the beautiful outdoors of California (continues to maintain her target of 150 miles/year).

Aparna is also actively involved in charity work. She is currently the President of UVCE Foundation US, her alma-mater and directs the Philanthropy program which provides scholarships to economically and socially disadvantaged youngsters to pursue their dreams of a Technology education. She is also the Bay Area Ambassabor for Parikrma Humanity Foundation, an education non-profit organization in India.
